"Haunting, heart-warming and Amazing."

My Little Brother captured the last two weeks of his life on camera.
JoDa reads from his powerful novel,

Hog: Biography of Legendary Nathan Hodge.

"I was amazed by the details in your writing!"
–Larry Holden, Memento, Batman Begins

JoDa Hodge, a writer, producer, adventurer and rising social media guru, was born on the Bean Hollow Vermont hippie commune to a VW Bug-driving carpenter and a  Jersey school teacher. Over Packer Mountain loomed an abandoned military base— commandeered by the Hells Angels.

At UVM, Amen Teter served as JoDa’s memorable classmate. With degrees in English, Psychology and Communications, JoDa was homeless, working as a WCAX-TV News cameraman, sleeping on the shores of Lake Champlain.

JoDa then bought a Harley with a credit card from the Hardwick funeral home director... eventually riding solo x-country from Beatnik San Francisco back to Vermont. From this near-death trip, JoDa penned his first Harley travel novel, Freedom Road.

JoDa's Brother, Nathan Hodge, died, his fiancée broke his heart, another NEK girlfriend, Melissa Jenkins, was murdered, and a third became a “vegan porn star.”

These tragedies inspired JoDa to pen eight novels and the multi-award-winning film and television franchise, Departed Harvest—The World's First Solar-powered Hippie Crime Drama.

Departed Harvest won the 2011 American International Screenplay Competition and the 2011 Rhode Island International Screenplay Competition.

JoDa currently owns a successful advertising and videography company, JoDa.TV, with a focus on social media. In addition, his Darvest Films, LLC has ignited a wildly successful social media revolution via the Departed Harvest Video Audition Contest.

Praise for JoDa's
Hard Power

“I’ll give you credit. You did go balls out!

"It’s almost like, ‘Let’s see a Lost as done by the team that does Archer.’
Tritan’s like the super most awesome bad eye-patch-wearing Amish Navy SEAL!"

"It really started to turn funny when Tritan says, 'I don’t think my mom knew she was pregnant. If she did, she wouldn’t have been shark diving.’ Oh my God!”

"I feel like it achieved some sort of drug-like effect.
You’re knocked over by this tidal wave of surprises and lunacy.
I really liked it a lot. I just loved it! I’m sorry I laughed so much."
–Matt Giegerich, Script Consultant

"I think it’s a funny idea and if you have 100 shows in mind, I’d totally pitch it to a network."

"Having read all of Joda's books,
I can unabashedly say that this was brilliant.
The disjointed characters are so alive on the pages
that you can almost smell the freshly cut grass and
cigarette smoke from the soon-to-be mother. Perfecto!"

"JoDa's Freedom Road is a wild and crazy ride ride
across America by a fearless and talented young novelist
with a fine sense of humor and a keen eye for what's right,
what's weird and what's flat-out wrong with these United States today."
